Speaker Richardson Appoints Jim Talley to the ATLANTA—Speaker Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) today announced the appointment of Jim Talley of Dallas, Ga., to the State Properties Commission and the Georgia Building Authority. “Jim Talley's frontline experience as a successful attorney and a committed community leader will make him a great addition to the State Properties Commission,” said Richardson. “Jim has long been a leader in the local community, and I am convinced he will continue his great service as a member of the commission.” A brief biography of Jim Talley follows: State Properties Commission/Georgia Building Authority James “Jim” B. Talley, Jr., Dallas – Talley is an attorney with the law firm of Vinson, Talley, Richardson, and Cable, P.A. in Dallas, Ga., where he practices residential and commercial real estate law, as well as a domestic relations, probate matters, and general litigations. A former pilot in the United State Marine Corps, he remains active in the Marine Corps Reserves and has attained the rank of colonel. Talley is secretary of the Board for Paulding Enterprises and serves on the Paulding County Airport Authority. He is a former director of the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce and has served as Chairman of the Chattahoochee Technical Institute. Talley earned a bachelor's degree from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina and a law degree from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. He and his wife, Ramona, are members of the First United Methodist Church of Dallas, Ga. |
